Barrel sauna kit delivered to Tartu

University town, cold winters

Tartu is a university city with many international students and staff. Winters are cold, so a barrel sauna fits well.

Gardens and lakes

Suburbs such as Tähtvere and Kambja have family houses. South Estonia has lakes and forests where plots are larger.

Student city, family gardens

Tartu has lots of academics, families and returning expats who now live in houses on the edge of town. A garden sauna suits all of them.

The cold winters here are good for stove performance. Place the sauna on a level base with space for firewood storage nearby.

Emajõgi river and the south

Tartu is built along the Emajõgi river, and the countryside to the south is a land of lakes, hills and forests. Many residents have a summer house or a family home outside town, and a barrel sauna is a good way to use it in every season.

Both wood and electric stoves are available. Wood gives the traditional experience many Estonians value, while electric is convenient for a quick session during the week.

We can also advise on firewood storage, the correct stove clearances and the right base for your plot. Questions in English are welcome.

Local custom and a good session

In Estonia, a sauna evening is slow and sociable: heat, rest, water and talk, repeated a few times. The barrel is well suited to this, because two to six people can sit together on the benches, and the roundness encourages conversation.
